THE JOURNEY TO GOOD MEDICINE

There are as many reasons as there are medicinal herbs as to why more people are returning to natural plant medicine to support their health.

Whether it's the rising costs of allopathic medical care or a curiosity about a holistic health approach, quality medicinal herbs are needed today.

Wild-harvested plants are highly valued in the medicinal herb market due to their higher level of efficacy (large commercial operations may grow bigger plants at a faster rate but the medicinal properties are greatly diminished). However, like all areas of agriculture, the practice of wild-harvesting needs to be reevaluated for sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. This is why we aim to build a small-scale organic herb production that delivers quality herbs directly to practitioners.

On our Little Hill we practice regenerative farming which is the best way to grow potent medicinal herbs. Healthy soil and strategic companion planting will create a dynamic environment for plants which will mimic the natural stressors of the elements that give these plants their medicinal properties. Currently, our Spring 2023 Herbal Test Garden is being built and will serve as the beginning of our journey to growing good medicine.
